Urban Beekeeper job in Toronto

You’re extremely organized but hate the 9-5? You can clearly articulate your thoughts and love being outside? You want to build a movement that values local production?

Alvéole is looking for a full-time urban beekeeper to maintain Alvéole hives in Toronto from May to December 2018.

Tasks :
Manage over 100 hives across the GTA :
Beehive installations
Rigorous maintenance
Honey extraction
Organic treatments
Preparation for winter
Etc.
Help families, schools, businesses and other organizations learn about beekeeping.
Animate group workshops on beekeeping at companies and schools.
Represent Alvéole at kiosks and fairs and participate in the sale of honey.
Participate in a two-week beekeeping training program outside of the province.

The ideal person has the following profile:
Great understanding of the city
Passionate about customer service
Beekeeping knowledge a plus
Hungry to learn about urban beekeeping
Extremely resourceful, with entrepreneurial chops

Job requirements:
Driver's license
Available for a two-week training outside the city
Available full-time starting April 30th 2018
