Program Details:


The Honest Internship Program takes place at our headquarters in Playa Vista, CA. The program will run for 9 weeks from June 11th to August 10th, and is a paid, full-time internship. Interns must be available for the full duration of the program.

Internship Description:


As the R&I Lab Technician Intern, you’ll be advancing The Honest Company’s understanding and development of a more robust preservative system. You will test and refine an effective preservative blend that Honest could use in multiple formulas.


What you’ll do:



  • Research current preservation methods and alternative preservation trends in the personal care industry

  • Track and report on preservative effectiveness and product stability

  • Batch laboratory samples in the personal care lab

  • Evaluate product texture and aesthetics to ensure minimal change

  • Summarize findings and make recommendations for optimized preservative blends

  • Must be currently enrolled in, or ar recent graduate of, an undergraduate program in chemistry, biology, chemical engineering, or other relevant scientific field

  • Strong laboratory skills and familiarity with experimental design
