The University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences (USAHS) seeks a Vice President of Operations to lead a cross functional team across all campuses and to work collaboratively with a team of functional experts at the divisional level. The Vice President is responsible for the attainment of university goals and objectives in accordance with the institutional mission and strategic vision. The Vice President will play a key leadership role in establishing relationships with key stakeholders across the institution, providing the strategy for operational effectiveness and efficiency, and ensuring a positive experience for all students and a collaborative working environment for all faculty and staff.
The Vice President must be committed to promoting the highest levels of responsiveness to operational issues that lead to high student engagement, student satisfaction, and successful student outcomes. As a member of the leadership team, the Vice President is responsible for formulating operational policies and strategies, including budget allocation and long-range planning, to ensure attainment of institutional goals and objectives.
This position reports to the Chief Executive Officer and will provide operational leadership for several institutional functions related to campus And student operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Work in concert with the Chief Executive Officer and leadership team to develop and facilitate an effective long range plan that addresses operational efficiency, new campus implementations, technology initiatives, regulatory compliance, and student operations.
•Manage administrative functions for the university to ensure operational efficiency as well as meeting revenue and budget goals.
•Collaborate closely with campus academic leaders to create an innovative educational experience, effective research capabilities, and interactive spaces.
•Provide leadership for the assigned campus operational leads to ensure high quality campus appearance, effective space assignments, operational efficiency, emergency readiness plans, and appropriate infrastructure that meets the needs of students, faculty, staff and regulators.
•Establish procurement strategies and policies that appropriately source university resources ensuring campus consistency, effective planning, financial efficiency.
•Expands and advises on financing options for students that meet all regulatory requirements. Ensures timely disbursement of funds.
•Develop and promote priorities for the university in concert with overarching strategy.

May perform other duties and responsibilities that management may deem necessary from time to time.

TECHNICAL, MANAGERIAL, and PEOPLE SKILLS REQUIRED
•Ability to build an agile workforce that responds quickly and effectively to changing business situations and demands.
•Leadership that creates a united team with high accountability for consistently meeting high quality expectations.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
•An advanced business degree (i.e. MBA, Master Engineering, Master IT) preferred.
•A background in higher education and health sciences/services preferred.
•A minimum of 10 years in operations for a growing enterprise. Experience managing multi-site organization beneficial.
•Experience starting up new operations.
•Demonstrated ability to collaborate with both internal and external relationships.
•Experience in budget management.
•Demonstrated ability to communicate issues and recommendations persuasively and effectively to key stakeholders.
•Travel one-third minimum of his/her time to all campus locations.
•Problem solving approach with high creativity and deep sense of customer service.
•Business acumen with strong analytical capabilities and an understanding of investment drivers.
•Sense of urgency and agility to meet a fast-paced environment that must respond to changing regulatory requirements.
•Project management skills to ensure the effective delivery of construction and IT projects.
•Understanding of the higher education industry health sciences/services.
