Job Title: Intern

Reports To: Director of the Do-Good Bus

Status: Part-Time, Non-Exempt

Length of Internship: 8-12 weeks

Rate: $12 per hour


About Do Good Bus:

Do Good Bus promises altruistic adventurism by bringing people together to help local causes in a fun and social environment. During each mystery event, Do Good Bus strives to create awareness for local causes, create community amongst volunteers and prove the power of working together to make a difference.

On a Do Good Bus Ride, our first goal is awareness. There are hundreds of causes that help our city, our neighbors and our friends and the mission is to show people how to support these causes. Secondly, our team truly believes in the importance of creating a community and what better way to make new friends then to ride together with like-minded folks and have fun while giving back. Lastly, we hope the Do Good Bus experience will inspire passengers to do good again – at work, at home and in their community.

Position Title: Intern

Do Good Bus is looking for a student intern in the Los Angeles area who has an interest in interning for a non-profit. Ideal candidate should be personable, Good communication skills, work independently and must have transportation.


  • At least 18 years old

  • Must be able to legally work in the United States

  • Ability to work up to 20 hours per week

Required Qualifications: 

  • Creativity, self-motivated, a team player

  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Mac platform

  • Proficient in WordPress, Type Form and Quick books

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Good time-management and organizational skills

  • High attention to detail for a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to work independently


  • Sponsor coordination

  • Research Speaking Engagements

  • Respond to inbound call/email requests

  • Send estimates, invoices and confirmation 

  • Research volunteer opportunities

  • CRM input

  • Post Monthly Community Rides

  • Order food and beverage

  • Coordinate drivers/hosts… send Trip Sheets

  • Follow up email/survey

  • General Admin. Support

  • Other duties as assigned


  • Work with Director

  • Have input on growing a national non-profit

  • Shape the Do-Good Bus experience

  • Work with and Interface with Sponsor (Dogeared)

  • Experience Corporate and Non-Profit environment

  • Feedback based on their work performance during the internship
