In order to deliver industry-leading educational results to the modern student, an innovative approach to technology and software is critical. We are seeking a motivated and experienced IT executive to structure and deliver world class technology services as Chief Architect. In this role, you will use your expertise in today’s cutting edge technologies and key software products to design an IT strategy to help achieve our organization’s goal of changing the lives of students around the globe. You will build and lead a high performing team that will solve problems, overcome roadblocks and deliver results across our $4b organization for years to come.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with senior leaders and business partners across the organization to identify business needs to develop effective technology strategies

  • Align Laureate’s business strategy with its software technology

  • Lead an effective, engaged and productive team within the Architecture organization

  • Develop your technological vision into a pragmatic and deliverable roadmap for all applications

  • Provide thought leadership on the feasibility of incorporating new technologies into the enterprise application portfolio



Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science / related field preferred

  • 10+ years in architecture

  • 15+ years' of relevant IT experience

  • 10+ years in a leadership role including experience leading a team and setting performance goals and objectives

  • Familiarity with the higher education industry including student information systems and learning management systems preferred
