About the Role and what you can expect

The main responsibilities of the International Recruitment Advisor (NSW, Sub Continent, Middle East) involves recruiting international students in line with trimester targets, ensuring results are forecast accurately and developing and managing onshore agent relations from the assigned state source market, in close cooperation and regular consultation with the Regional Manager Sub Continent, Middle East & Africa and the Head of International Recruitment.

This position operates in a high volume, high pressure and target driven environment that focuses on meeting expected revenue numbers. You may be required to travel internationally as well as domestically, work outside of normal working hours (including weekend exhibitions) to attend events or meet required deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct campus tours for both agents and prospective students

  • Support and participate in international recruitment activities and formulate new international recruitment initiatives

  • Manage direct international leads including online lead conversion, walk-ins and direct applications

  • Support the development and maintenance of pathway provider agreements through regular presentations held at pathway provider premises

  • Develop and manage agent relations from the assigned state source market, in close cooperation and regular consultation with International Recruitment Managers

  • Train and regularly visit/update agency counsellors and managers: comprehensive training to include university/college and course information, admission requirements, enrolment procedures, pricing, etc

  • Set agents annual enrolment targets in line with company growth objectives, and work closely with agents to help them reach such targets. Ensure agent comprehension of and compliance with all contractual responsibilities. Monitor agency performance (including quarterly appraisals) and make necessary adjustments

  • Motivate agency counsellors to prioritise Laureate Australia in their course recommendations to prospective students and ensure counsellors are kept updated on all university/college, program and campus developments

  • Enrolment forecasting and reporting and pipeline management.

  • Agent Account Management for assigned recruitment territory (state),

  • Participate in exhibitions, seminars and interview programs and provide written reports detailing outcomes and further plans

  • Service distribution channels through frequent verbal and written communication

  • Liaise with the marketing department to develop state specific promotional material

Desired Skills and Experience

Skills, Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Completion of a tertiary qualification

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience within international education market

  • Linguistic fluency in English and a second language

  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and overseas, plus work weekends periodically (to attend Student Fairs and other recruitment events)

  • Highly-effective presentation & written communication skills

  • Strong time management skills

  • Ability to give clear directions and course/college explanations, and follow instructions

  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a small team

  • Ability to motivate agency counsellors to optimise THINK in their recruitment planning

  • Ability to work within existing guidelines, policies and procedures

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Intermediate competency in the use of MS Word and MS Excel

  • Competent in the use of content management or CRM systems
