The Endpoint Engineer is a member of the IT Operations team in the Laureate Education Global Service Management Group (GSM) and reports to the Sr. Director, IT Operations. The Endpoint Engineer will provide assistance for all software deployment activities within the IT Operations team. This individual will provide input for all projects that involve software distribution, anti-virus and workstation imaging.

The ideal candidate for this position will have excellent communication skills and work well in a fast-paced, growing environment. The candidate must be able to support and maintain systems in an enterprise environment. This individual will be someone who can take direction from senior management, but also seek opportunities to improve and stabilize the environment, and implement efficiencies in daily processes.


Responsibilities will include after-hours and weekend availability as required during project related activity. Responsibilities include enforcing the processing operations workstation standards, maintaining a secure environment and the creation and enforcement of team policies and procedures.

  • Endpoint Engineering – Responsible for managing Laureate’s configuration management tools (Kaseya, JAMF and Asset Explorer)

  • Asset Management - Maintain an accurate and up-to-date inventory of all end user devices, providing management with monthly and ad-hoc reports

  • Creation of software distribution packages and scripts for COTS and customized software packages, utilizing Laureate’s configuration management software

  • Management of the workstation patching environment utilizing Laureate’s deployment tools to ensure all workstations are current with the latest security updates provided by Microsoft and other vendors.

  • Management of the Mac Endpoint management solution

  • Management of Laureate’s standard workstation images ensuring application functionality, consistency and all images maintain a high level of security

  • Maintain workstation integrity ensuring consistent software and operating system versioning

  • Management of the Virtual desktop infrastructure environment

  • Managing potentially unwanted application inventory utilizing Laureates workstation configuration management tools

  • Management of workstation encryption services

  • Provide guidance on the IT Operations team standards for all workstation deployments

  • Management of the company MDM Solution

  • 7+ years of experience required in the Information Technology field

  • Minimum 4 years of experience with the creation and distribution of software scripts and packages

  • Minimum 7 years of experience with all “End User” Windows Operating Systems

  • Ability to diagnose problems related to software installation

  • Ability to build Windows Workstations from Bare Metal to production ready

  • In depth knowledge of Build procedures including experience with SysPrep

  • Experience with software imaging tools, specifically Windows Deployment Services

  • Experience managing Mobile Device Management tools

  • Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and WINS services

  • A deep understanding of Asset management systems

  • Experience managing encryption services

  • Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving and organizational skills

  • Account automation experience is desired

  • Management of Macs is desired

  • Scripting experience is required, preferable with PowerShell

  • Superior customer service skills for interacting with users

  • Strong written and verbal skills and comfortable preparing documentation of team procedures and guidelines

  • Detail orientation, and the ability to record, organize, and communicate detail

  • Occasional travel may be required

  • Ability to work flexible schedules when required.

  • Ability to multitask and appropriately prioritize duties

  • A self-starter who can excel in a team environment of a growing and dynamic enterprise.

  • A nonpolitical team player who can build immediate credibility with all teams

  • Experience with Kaseya IT Systems Management Software a plus
