Design Intern or Part-Time Design Assistant

In this position, you’ll be getting a broad overview of the textile industry, learn the whole design process, and get an opportunity to build your network – key pieces to building an exciting career. 

There’s going to be plenty to keep you busy and learning. You’d be: 

  • Designing marketing/internal and sales materials using Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator

  • Color matching and arrangement for new patterns

  • Create textile palettes for interior design projects, photo shoots, client visits etc.

  • Offer creative input on design and marketing projects

  • Prep for and support photo shoots

  • Organize and archive digital artwork/images/patterns

  • Set up fabric, wall, marketing displays

  • Shipping, receiving, and other clerical tasks as necessary

We’re looking for someone with more than just design experience: we want someone who is ready to take on new challenges, and is willing to learn and apply a brand new set of skills and knowledge. 

But you won’t be alone: we’ve got an amazing team, and you’ll need to be a great team player to take full advantage of everything they have to offer. 


  • Proficiency with Adobe as well as Microsoft Suite programs

  • Experience working with textiles and/or in the textile industry would be an asset

  • Experience with photography and/or set design/coordination would be an asset 

The Details 

You’ll work variable hours from Monday to Friday in our NYC office. The length of your internship and the hours you work are flexible to fit your school schedule. The internship starts at $12/hour, with up to 28 hours a week.
