Description
Role Summary:  This position will be responsible for all plastics processing, mold change and trouble shooting for production team u sing established procedures. Performs assigned tasks, knows fundamental concepts of injection molding, practices and procedures of the mold change process.     

                        

General Responsibilities:


Identify and correct safety hazards at press and work cells
Monitors and documents molding process; implements and documents corrective action as needed
Works closely with Front Line Leaders and SCM Team to ensure inventory accuracy
Supports all areas of production as needed
Works with Engineering and SCM on tooling and material tryouts
Pulls and sets molds; starts up presses, robots and secondary in a safe, efficient manner
Accurately and consistently updates all appropriate areas of technical documentation
Identifies and requests assistance in the areas of maintenance and tooling as needed
Participates in technical meetings as required
Supports PFC efforts; provides technical training to C-Techs
Flexible scheduling to meet customer's needs/production needs
Promotes Lean initiatives
Participates in root cause problem solving activities in process and production areas
Completes minor tool repair
Communicate with oncoming and outgoing shifts
Attend APQP meetings when required


Minimum Education, Experience and Core Competency Requirements: 


High school diploma/GED + 3 years plastics technical experience or achievement of level C Tech Processor
Ability to work with minimal supervision experience
Experience using Microsoft Office
Mold setting experience
Injection molding experience
LOTO certified
Current Hilo license
Material handling experience
Crane & Chain training


Preferred Education, Experience and Core Competency Requirements :


Successful completion of Fundamentals of Injection Molding
Familiar with Reis robots
Automatic programming Reis, ABB and Star
