Job Description

About the Role and what you can expect


As the Learning Experience Design Manager you will be leading the design, development and adoption of innovativelearning design solutions for courses and subjects across all LANZ providers, as part of the broader product development process and aligned with the Product Strategy.


You will be responsible for:



  • Driving the adoption and execution of innovative learning design strategies, with a focus on best practice principles for adult industry-immersive learning and for hybrid, blended and online delivery.

  • Leading a team of learning designers to foster best practice, to ensure consistency of approach and execution, and to ensure innovations are shared and scaled across the product portfolio.

  • Adopting a customer-centric, evidence-based approach that ensures student needs are at the heart of our learning design strategy.

  • Establishing strong relationships with academic teams, including subject matter experts, program directors and senior academic leaders, and contributing to LANZ learning and teaching strategy and continuous improvement.

  • Contributing to the dissemination of learning design best practice across the organisation.

As an innovative and forward thinking Learning Experience Design Manager, you will be passionate about creating new products and solutions and be excited to work for a connected, global organisation that is designed to put students first in everything we do.


You will have:



  • A Tertiary qualification in Learning Design / Education / Instructional Design / e-Learning or a related discipline area

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience leading / managing a learning design team

  • Capacity development learning design / education environment, training

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in either Learning Design-related and/or tertiary teaching roles involving hybrid / online delivery.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
