The Marketing Associate will be responsible for assisting the Decade Business Unit in marketing its products and services. This individual will be responsible for collecting and analyzing data on current and potential customers and markets. Research methodology will include voice-of-the-customer interviews, 80/20 analysis of existing products/markets, digital marketing analytics and traditional quantitative and qualitative research.

The Marketing Associate will provide analysis to assist with determining the business units’ position within the current market and recommend potential new growth markets and services. This individual will also be responsible for monitoring competitors and analyzing their pricing, market position and strategic intent. This information will provide direction to the Decade Business unit in the development of advertising campaigns using both traditional and digital marketing channels, sales plans, and product promotions.

Collect data on consumers, competitors and the marketplace and consolidate information into actionable reports and presentations
Understand business objectives and design surveys to discover prospective customers’ preferences
Build and manage a rich content editorial calendar that attracts a qualified audience to our website including development of blog posts, whitepapers, e-books, webinars and infographics
Develop the digital marketing strategy for Decade Products
Perform SWOT analysis
Use 80/20 principles for data analysis
Establish a database for all market research conducted
Develop and maintain a database for all existing and potential customers including current e-mail addresses for digital marketing communications
Provide competitive analysis on pricing/business models, sales and methods of operation to identify vulnerabilities and opportunities
Remain fully informed on current market and industry trends identifying best practices
Identify new Blue Ocean opportunities eliminating competition
Identify new qualified leads and opportunities using Google analytics
Optimize our marketing automation and lead nurturing processes through email blasts, personalized content development and social media channels
Understand the marketing funnel sequence – exposure – discovery – consideration - conversion, customer relationship – retention to personalize content appropriately
Evaluate demographics, prices, distribution channels, and marketing channels
Develop sales tactics and strategies in tandem with our marketing department

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Bachelor or Master degree in marketing or related field
Ability to analyze large amounts of data and recommend appropriate actions
Strong communication and presentation skills
Familiar with SEO and SEM tactics
Familiarity with managing CRM programs
Adequate knowledge of data collection methods
Working knowledge of data warehousing, modeling and mining
Strong analytical and critical thinking

Preferred Skills

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in marketing, demonstrating success, preferably in the manufacturing, industrial, food processing and agricultural sectors.
