Laureate is seeking an individual who will assist the Corporate- Contract Management Function – Contracts Administrator in organizing and maintaining and tracking contracts, correspondence with the legal team and the business owners, and updating our contract management information technology systems.


The Contracts Management Assistant will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Assisting with contract processing and approval tracking, by following up with users for incomplete information, and helping to ensure that we receive fully executed copies of approved contracts back from the users to help ensure compliance with the Contract Management Policy (CMP).

  • Assisting in the Administration of the Contract Management Policy. Providing guidance and follow-up to the users, answering questions, ensuring new requests are responded to timely.

  • Researching existing contracts to address questions or issues from the CMP users.

  • Contribute to the continued development of processes and systems related to contract review and management, to help maximize efficiency.

  • Administrative duties including data tracking, follow-up, documentation gathering, and reporting.

  • Additional Legal administrative duties as assigned, such as tasks related to compliance, intellectual property, legal communications drafting, etc.

  • Serve as a back-up to the CMF when he/she is out of the office.

  • High sensitivity to the confidential nature of the work.

  • Ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines in a team environment.

  • High computer literacy including strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, SharePoint, PowerPoint and Excel is required. Familiarity with PeopleSoft preferred.

  • Maintain flexibility in hours, including some hours outside the standard business hours.

  • Foreign language skills a plus


  • Corporate paralegal experience in contracts and transactional practice areas would be a plus, preferably in a higher education setting.

  • BA/BS, Paralegal Certificate or relevant work experience preferred.

  • Ability to work well independently with minimal supervision balanced with the ability to work well in a professional team/corporate office environment.

  • Self-starter demonstrating thoroughness and close attention to detail.

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.

  • High sensitivity to the confidential nature of the work.

  • Ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines, including working hours outside the normal workday to meet demands.

  • Flexibility to deal with daily changes in prioritization of workload and commitment to see tasks through to completion.

  • High computer literacy including strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required. Microsoft Project and Visio is preferred.

  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft and SharePoint, our two contract management systems or a comparable contract management tool is required.

  • Maintain flexibility in hours, including some overtime if necessary.
