Maintenance Manager job in Brownsville
Position Responsibilities :
Keep track of spending to ensure we are staying within the departmental budget for SW value stream.
Inspect and keep Brownsville and Grand Prairie facilities in compliance with insurance carriers.
Scheduling performance testing on Fire pumps, sprinkler systems, backflow prevention, gas train inspections, alarm systems, overhead cranes, mechanical and electrical distribution, heating and cooling.
Generate capital request forms to initiate new projects and equipment purchases.
Select contractors needed for projects, follow project schedule through completion.
Schedule projects to be done in house with the maintenance department.
Work closely with Maintenance personal on equipment and building needs to keep equipment up to OEM specifications.
Review preventative maintenance activities to assure our program is covering equipment needs as our preventative maintenance program.
Track equipment downtime and implement corrective actions or upgrades to equipment if needed.
Assist in developing training plans on new equipment purchases.
Support all CK Technologies plants as needed.
Oversees daily operations of the maintenance department.
Direct and assist all outside contractors.
Studies ROI or cost justification for decision-making.
Provides modifications to existing systems and design.
Diagnoses injection molding equipment, secondary and auxiliary equipment failures
Orders parts and fill out purchase orders.
Maintain equipment & vendor list, part inventories for all machines and equipment, and purchase order and work order histories.
Analyzes issues from a predictive maintenance perspective.
Participate on problem solving teams and other continuous improvement efforts.
Provide training opportunities for all Techs so they can advance learn and are able to perform their assigned tasks.
Monitor equipment repeatability.
Assesses and evaluates secondary equipment design for functional capability.
Keeps track of inventory.
Assist maintenance staff solve equipment problems when needed.
Track operating repair cost on all injection molding presses per machine.
Observes and corrects irregular machine conditions.
Works with the production scheduler to get machines out of service to make scheduled repairs.
Focuses on preventive and corrective actions.
Initiate, implement and maintain work instructions for the Maintenance department.

High school diploma of general education degree (GED) with 10- years experience; Associates degree with 5 years experience; Bachelor degree with 1-2 years’ experience.
Be familiar with large tonnage presses, besides the normal hydraulic, plc and electrical.
PLC programming knowledge, ladder logic, and flow schematic.
Proficient in using excel, Microsoft office, and Microsoft word documents.
Capable of reading and interpreting blue prints for electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic.
Advanced project management and timeline skills.
Full capability to diagnose hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical.
Advanced secondary machine repair.
Advanced knowledge of injection molding machines. Including the ability to process molds and make adjustments to make quality parts.
Strong electric controls and troubleshooting skills.
Understanding of all PLC controls and vision system of the robots.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Detail oriented with organizational skills.
Language Skills Requirements: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and system documentation. Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of associates. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general associate. Mathematical Skills Requirements: Excellent math and writing skills Reasoning Ability Requirements: Ability to actively participate in problem solving activities. Ability to apply logic to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Physical Requirements: Moderate physical movement and exertion. Able to lift 50 lbs. Able to work in elevated areas using a man lift.
