This position will work with all regions of the business to provide transformation initiative support and financial analysis. Primary responsibilities include business case analysis for finance global operating transformation, IT, HR and enrollment cycle operating transformation. This position will report to the Finance Manager of the Business Transformation Office, and will have broad exposure and visibility throughout the organization.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Financial and operational liaison to the Global Finance entities
•Support the timely and consistent communication to stakeholders and business unites on progress, impacts, and changes associated with management of the portfolio projects.
•Design, improve and implement of back office operating models, best practices and standards
•Prepare, present and analyze financial data to explain variances and interpret results on an ad hoc basis
•Work collaboratively with regional finance groups towards achievement of the company's strategic goals
•Aligns with corporate and global finance organization, tracking decisions relating to systems and reporting
•Development of KPI’s to support the organizations Global Shared Service functions
•Understand management and user needs in regarding to financial planning and analytical needs; think creatively and proactively about how to meet both.
•Client facing responsibilities both internally and externally across the entire Laureate Network. Must have cultural sensitivity with relation to cultural norms and business practices.
•Analyze the Operational and Financial components of business case proposals in line with Laureate’s project evaluation guidelines
•Support communication of financial results to operations personnel and other levels of management in a clear and consistent manner
•Possibly travel to locations across the Laureate network, as necessary, to provide training, gather information, and build relationships
•Bachelor's degree in accounting or business required (Masters degree highly preferred).
•5-7 years’ experience required
•Must have experience managing financial processes with visibility into business results.
•Excellent oral and written communication skills required in English and Spanish.
•Must be flexible, able to contribute in a team environment, and able to handle multiple priorities.
•Experience with MS Office suite of software products required.
•Hyperion Planning, Hyperion Essbase, PeopleSoft and Microsoft Excel experience preferred.
