Position Summary: The EILEEN FISHER Brooklyn Store is a new concept store designed to turn the company inside out and invite the customer into the full expression of our brand, specifically around sustainability and the circular economy. The Assistant Store leader will be in a unique position. Her/his strengths are where business and creativity merge to create an innovative, sustainability-focused and community-centric environment, holding a "behind the scenes" customer experience at its center. The Assistant Store Leader serves as a Brand ambassador, embracing the full circle of EILEEN FISHER product and values (from design samples to mainline to Remade).
In this role, you will work very closely with the Store Leader in running all aspects a store with special focus on events planning, programming, community outreach, local partnerships and local marketing. The Assistant Store Leader will help create and execute strategy within a new store concept/community environment to bring a new invitation to the EILEEN FISHER brand (while always welcoming our current customer). The Assistant Store Leader will help to focus on innovation, acquisition and community outreach and will strive for in-store experiences which connect to our values and the Brand. Additionally, the Assistant Store Leader will assume daily operations such as retail sales, customer service, employee relations and visual merchandising.

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist Store Leader with conceptualizing and executing in-store event s and relevant programming
Design, plan, coordinate and market in-store programs and events, focused on arts, crafts, fashion sustainability, social responsibility and community
Help manage the strategic, creative, and logistical aspects of the in-store programming
Partner with Store Leader to create local partnerships through hosting special events to establish and maintain and build a strong community connection
Help develop and maintain the Artist in Residence program
Works with Store Leader to in the areas of forecasting, costing and budgeting, and reviews program budgets.
Manages overall program budget, reviews and audits all events and program-related billing for accuracy
Assist Store Leader with scheduling, inventory, expense control and ongoing daily operations, communications and procedures of a retail store
Understand and own financial reporting and measurable metrics as well as 4 wall P&L  Support Store Leader in Larger scale initiatives and operations
Collaborate with Store Leader to motivate, direct and facilitate associate recruitment, training and development with an emphasis on nurturing talent and growth
Maintain an active presence on the sales floor
Effectively communicate information and ideas with store leader, associates and customers
Ensure brand merchandising and display standards are maintained and that store is consistently replenished from stockroom to sales floor
Assist with seasonal floor-set implementation & merchandise updates
Embrace technology and be open to new learnings
Assume Store Leader responsibilities when Store Leader is unable to fulfill his/her duties
