Description

Are you excited to learn more about building performance engineering, including BIM, energy modeling and commissioning? If so, apply for stok’s San Francisco internship. This three-month internship is ideal for college students and recent college grads looking to break into the sustainable building industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with energy modeling projects (BIM and BEM)
  • Support our engineering team in new building commissioning services, including LEED, Title 24, and Monitoring-Based Commissioning
  • Participate in site visits and client meetings and maintain meeting minutes as needed
  • Develop Python scripts for data processing and analysis
  • Develop and implement approaches to discover energy savings opportunities to assist with the design process
  • Develop data processing approaches for large amounts of trend data to assist with visualization and analysis
  • Develop quality control processes for data analysis results
  • Read and review Architectural and MEP drawings, including mechanical and electrical systems
  • Participate in internal ongoing educational seminars and team education
  • Develop and implement internal efficiency measures

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Building Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Basic programming knowledge
  • Working knowledge of energy modeling software
  • Experience in SketchUp, OpenStudio, AutoCAD, Revit
  • Experience with data analysis and visualization
  • Knowledge of BIM concepts a plus
  • Knowledge of large-scale data analysis tools a plus
