$11.25 / hr, plus service charge pool (which adds avg. $9 per hour to hourly wage)

Did you know that Elephants Delicatessen is one of the biggest caterers in the state of Oregon? Our elite team of caterers is looking for several catering servers/bartenders to join our seasonal catering event crew this winter season. We get to visit some of the most beautiful venues in Portland and create lasting memories for our community.

We are looking for candidates who display exceptional attitude for service. Our catering servers offer full off-site event service including plated meals, passed hors d’oeuvres, buffets, and full bar set-up. As a Server/Bartender, you could be asked to: provide exceptional hospitality at all times; set up/break down events; and promote consistent quality food ; report on-time and in uniform; maintain a professional demeanor and appearance; follow direct instructions from even leads and managers; and promote a positive image for yourself and the company.

Varies based on season and event schedule. Earliest shifts start 4 am. Latest events end at 2 am. No guarantee of any hours. This is an on-call position.

Ideal candidate will also possess:

• A positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Open and receptive to learning new processes and the “Elephants” way
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly (This job is VERY physical work) while climbing stairs
• Active OLCC and Food Handlers Card or the ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Current driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and clean driving record (you will occasionally need to transport food in your own vehicle or a company vehicle)
• At least 6 months of server or bartender experience- catering events experience is a huge plus!
