Description

BWB’s Advisory & Impact department is seeking a motivated ACA trainee with a strong focus on social impact and interest in working with the third sector.
Bates Wells Braithwaite is a professional services consultancy, combining a top legal practice with services in impact measurement, outcomes-based planning and strategy, and financial services regulatory compliance. The firm works with a wide range of clients, large and small, across a variety of sectors – from established businesses, charities and social enterprises and public bodies to innovative start-ups and high-profile individuals. It is also a certified B-Corporation, an accreditation we have earnt by meeting rigorous standards of social and environment performance, accountability and transparency.
The Advisory & Impact department works across four main practice areas; impact management (social impact and evaluation), transactions (investment readiness, collaboration and acquisitions), risk and investigation (due diligence, risk and forensic accounting) and strategy (strategic insight and organisational effectiveness). As an analyst you will work on projects across all four practice areas, learning under the guidance of the practice managers and alongside other analysts.
You will be enrolled on a three year training contract and study alongside your work towards becoming ACA qualified (as a chartered accountant). BWB will pay for your study and professional exams and you will receive paid study leave to attend tuition courses and sit examinations, in addition to your annual leave.
The Advisory & Impact department was founded by Jim Clifford OBE in 2014 and became the first non-legal department within BWB. The team has grown from an initial four to twelve people and is looking to continue its expansion with further recruitment.
