The Role


The Honest Company has kicked off a search for a Director of Supply & Demand Planning. In this role, you’ll lead a team of planning professionals and partner across key functions of the organization to drive our inventory strategy and execution in order to support our growing wholesale distribution channel internationally.


 What you’ll do:



  • Oversee demand planning for our major mass, drug, grocery retailers and DTC business

  • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of supply & demand planning professionals

  • Collaborate with the Sales team on retail forecast and inventory needs for customers to optimize in-stock level in stores

  • Collaborate with the Product and Strategic Sourcing teams on time launching new products and packaging for wholesale customers

  • Balance forecast with supply plan to recommend product purchases that take into account operational service, product, and financial considerations

  • Oversee and ensure execution on all purchase orders

  • Optimize inventory levels and tracking to meet customer, operational, product, and financial/accounting needs

  • Partner with Wholesale Operations to understand wholesale customer’s product and packaging requirements and work with suppliers to execute appropriately

  • Manage supplier relationships and work directly with suppliers to ensure on-time and accurate production and delivery

  • Own ad-hoc analysis, including developing forecast for new product launches and managing inventory for product transitions

  • Problem solve and escalate supply issues

  • Collaborate with Warehouse team to ensure inventory accuracy and cycle count integrity

  • Collaborate with Accounting team on inventory reconciliation and adjustments and with Finance team on inventory cash flow projections and planning

  • Develop, track and report on the inventory plan

  • Participate in inventory module of the ERP implementation

  • Lead the E&O process for the organization

  • Lead the S&OP process for the organization

What you’ll need:



  • Bachelor's degree

  • 10+ years experience in supply chain, with 5+ years experience leading supply & demand planning

  • CPG industry experience, with a strong preference for experience in the Beauty industry

  • Strong quantitative background (corporate planning, consulting, finance, etc.)

  • Knowledge of Master Requirements Planning, Master Production Scheduling, and Distribution Requirements Planning

  • Advanced quantitative analysis/Excel modeling skills (vlookup, pivot tables, conditional formulas, etc.)

  • Experience with a Demand Planning Systems

  • Experience working with an ERP system, implementation experience preferred

  • MBA or Masters in Supply Chain or similar field

  • APICS Certification
