The Opportunity
APDS partners with dozens of service providers to deliver best-in-class services, educational content, and programming to incarcerated learners. Our partners integrate their tools into the APDS platform to provide content and services including GED prep, addiction recovery, life skills, and vocational training.

We are currently seeking an AWS Network Engineer in Partner Integrations to join our expanding Product team. The role will work directly with the Director of Product to ensure smooth technical implementation of APDS’ products and services. Your Responsibilities (will evolve as the company grows):
● Manage partner integrations - 45%
- Manage end-to-end technical aspects, including functional and security testing, of all new partner launches
- Build strong technical relationships with our key partners
- Independently manage regular technical check-ins with all key partners to maintain and improve integration.
- Document and codify the processes for partner onboarding and ongoing maintenance. This documentation will inform how partners interact with APDS, and how our internal teams interact with the partner services offered.
- Support SSO integration with all partners that offer SAML, LTI and other SSO technologies.
- Work with our partners to understand their API integration & data collection capabilities, and lead and project manage the integration with the APDS internal development team.

● Manage underlying network and security controls - 30%
- Test functionality and security of our partners’ systems to ensure compatibility with the APDS network.
- Work with partner to modify their service, or work with our infrastructure, to ensure security and functionality compliance.
- Manage AWS-based web filter, firewall and other network and security controls to ensure partner compatibility and overall system security.
- Ensure existing partner integrations continue to be successfully deployed in the APDS environment by providing direct high level troubleshooting, triage and support.

● High level support of partner systems in production - 25%
- Manage and troubleshoot data exchange mechanisms so that APDS can analyze and report on progress and usage by end-users on the partners’ systems.
- Conduct a full security and functionality audit of all existing partners, and establish ongoing monitoring and controls to keep these partner systems functioning.
- Ensure existing partner integrations continue to be successfully deployed in the APDS environment by providing direct high level troubleshooting, triage and support.

What We Are Looking For
● 3-5 years experience in a technical role
● Fluency in AWS, network infrastructure, routing, Android, web, web filters/firewalls, MDM
● Background in testing and/or managing test processes (pen-testing or testing automation a plus)
● Familiarity with APIs, particularly SSO and data collection
● Ability to distill complex or technical information to be understood by non-technical staff
● Highly organized, ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
● Creative problem-solving - ability to identify problems and proactively resolve them with minimal guidance
● Passion for correctional or adult education (background in this area a plus)
