Public Relations Intern job in Brooklyn

About the Role

We are looking for a part-time PR Intern to support our PR program! This person will focus on administrative tasks to streamline our media relations efforts (2 days/week). Please note: This is a temporary, part-time role extending through August.

About You

The ideal candidate is interested in learning more about public relations as it relates to a retailer’s marketing and merchandising strategy. You are flexible and can adapt to the changes in a dynamic work environment. You possess exceptional organizational skills and multi-project management ability. Great communication skills are a must, as you may be communicating directly with our valued editorial partners.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Tracking and reporting media hits, press requests, cold pitches on a weekly basis.
• Compiling weekly press summary reports.
• Assist with fulfilling press requests to media partners, including sending high-res images and press samples.
• Assist with coordinating production of holiday look book landing page.
• Assisting with holiday outreach strategy, including mailing press gifts and promotional materials to print and online media partners.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications:

• No experience required.
• Basic Excel skills a plus.
• Strong writing and interpersonal communication skills preferred.
