Due to an increase in volume, we are expanding our Marketing department and adding another Graphic Designer to the Design team. If you are eager to join an award-winning in-house team of talented and dedicated designers, this is the role for you. Working on consumer facing print and digital marketing communication projects, you will execute good design that resonates with the consumer. As you walk down the wine aisle in most retailers, you will feel a great sense of pride knowing your ideas and detailed efforts played a key role in creating exceptional point of sale materials such as neckers, coupons, signs, cases and packaging-related materials.
Working under broad guidance from the head of the Graphic Design team—and in collaboration with the other designers—you will be responsible for taking the lead on projects assigned to you. This will include the graphical development and production of marketing materials for the Fetzer Vineyards portfolio of brands—both domestic wines and Chilean and Argentine imports—ensuring alignment with Production and Marketing objectives.
Essential Responsibilities:
Assist in designing brand materials for specific market plans throughout the US and export markets. Examples include, but are not limited to: media ads, promotional materials and sales sheets.Provide annual/ongoing updates of vintage and alcohol changes for brands / SKU / markets.Responsible for conversion of approved design digital file to clean production file in preparation for all print vendors.Constantly seek new design methods, techniques and trends that may apply to any materials designed for brand plans.Create corporate communications such as flyers, letters, logos, presentation materials, ad hoc requests as well as support marketing and hospitality team with graphic design requests on an as needed basis.
Required:
Degree or certification in Graphic Design or related field and a minimum three to five years related in-house or agency experience in a similar role; or equivalent combination education and experience.
Prior experience designing and producing consumer-facing marketing materials (catalogs, ads, signs, etc.), product packaging and point-of-purchase materials.Communication: Requires exceptional written and verbal communication skills with legible handwriting; ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of internal and external contacts, employees, vendors and guests. Must be a team player and able to collaborate well.Excellent interpersonal skills with the highest level of integrity.Valid CA Drivers’ License required.
Design portfolio featuring print and digital work created through work and/or academic experiences.Efficient, well organized and ability to excel under the pressure of competing deadlines.Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud--especially Illustrator and Photoshop and InDesign; Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office (Mac OS).
Preferred:
Designing for the wine or CPG related industry, highly desirable.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis; push and pull up to 50 lbs. on an occasional basis; requires sitting at desk for extended period of time; and ability to walk, stand, and sit; reach outward and upward, climb, crawl, squat, kneel and bend; requires hand and finger dexterity for keyboarding and working at computer for extended periods of time.

This position will work out of Fetzer Vineyards Marketing offices located in downtown Healdsburg.
Fetzer Vineyards’ corporate office is located at 12901 Old River Rd Hopland, CA 95449. Hopland is a small town of less than 800 people located at the start of the Redwoods of Northern California. It is about a two hour drive, along scenic U.S. Route 101, north of San Francisco.
