What you’ll do…
Work with a growing Transformation team to align business goals, objectives and requirements with decisions regarding solutions, products, and services. You will assess current state, define future state needs, identify gaps, and recommend new solutions, often across multiple lines of businesses, including IT. Recognize and formulate business and technology solutions, business processes and make strategic recommendations.

  • Partner with clients to evaluate current and desired state data warehousing and Big Data capabilities in various industries. Distill business requirements and translate into technical solutions for data systems including data warehouses, cubes, marts, lakes, ETL integrations, BI tools or other components.
  • Are responsible for the full life cycle of back-end design and development of data warehouse and Big Data solutions. Design, code and construct data models (data vault, dimensional, 3NF), ETL processes, cubes, lakes, and marts and manage database administration.
  • Work on complex problems and provide technical leadership for data warehousing strategies and roadmaps.
  • Provide functional and technical subject matter expertise in various data management, warehousing, business intelligence and Big Data solutions across multiple industries.
  • Can assist in the development of project estimates, plans and timetables.
  • Have demonstrated an understanding of data warehouse design patterns and trends such as dimensional modeling, data vault, logical data warehouse and modern data warehouse.
  • Demonstrated an understanding of design best practices and operational requirements of data warehouse solutions such as sizing, scaling, fault tolerance, performance tuning, security etc.
  • Experience with master data management practices such as. data governance, data security and data quality frameworks, processes and tools.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience; Advanced degree preferred
  • Expert database developer with 5+ years of experience in at least two enterprise-class database management systems such as Microsoft, Oracle, Teradata, DB2 etc.
  • 5+ years of experience architecting, building and scaling transactional and analytical databases, Big Data and business intelligence solutions.
  • 3+ years of experience with analytics tools and languages such as Tableau, SQL Server Analysis Services, SQL Server Reporting Services, Power BI, Cognos, SAP Business Objects, SAS, R, and Python.
  • 2+ years of experience with enterprise database system operations
  • 2+ years of experience with industry-leading Big Data solutions such as Hadoop, Cloudera, AWS Redshift, Azure Data Lake, HDInsight
  • Experience designing and developing Cloud solutions for data and analytical workloads, such as warehouses, Big Data, data lakes, real-time streaming and advanced analytics
  • Data management consulting experience.
  • Knowledge and experience working with secured and sensitive data and systems such as PII, HIPAA, and CJIS.
  • Certified Business Intelligence Professional (CBIP); Certified Data Management Professional (CDPM); Certified Data Vault Professional 2.0; Certified Enterprise Data Management Expert; Certified Data Steward; Information Governance Professional; and other certifications provided through the various cloud and data-related products such as Oracle, Teradata, AWS, Azure etc.
  • Experience in either Financial Services or Healthcare.
