Junior Marketing Associate job in Durham

This is an entry level position primarily responsible for online and in-store technical marketing for our contemporary apparel and home goods boutique. We are seeking applicants who are eager to systematize, plot strategy, and grow into a Marketing Associate within 1 year.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

THE POSITION
The Junior Marketing Associate works under our Creative Manager and is primarily responsible for the following:
• Learn the V&V brand thoroughly, in-store and online
• Technical execution of online marketing across multiple channels (email campaigns, social media, targeted ads)
• Track, report, and analyze ads and campaigns
• Write short form copy and produce daily social media content
• Maintenance of online profiles & reviews across multiple channels (Google, Yelp, Facebook, etc)
• General analysis of site UX regularly
• Create processes for customer database management for the purposes of targeted email campaigns
• Handle in-store event production including invites, setup, catering, and outreach pre and post event
• Assist with occasional print ads and seasonal traditional advertising

YOUR TRAITS
You prefer working with a small team rather than in a corporate setting. You’re technically skilled, detail oriented, and analytical. You are a strong communicator and writer. When presented with a problem, you go deeper than face value to find the smartest solution. Building systems to generate sales is exciting and rewarding for you. You’re passionate about small, independent fashion designers and want to tell their stories.

YOUR CRED
You have a bachelor’s degree in marketing. Fashion retail experience is a major plus. You understand social media platforms, Google analytics, and SEO optimization. You’re comfortable working on a Mac, using Mailchimp, Asana, Dropbox, Office Suite, and Google tools. Shopify experience a plus.
