Walden University is currently seeking a Psychology Graduate Assistant for the Blended Academic-Year-In-Residence (B-AYR) blended courses.
Psychology Graduate Assistants for the Blended Academic-Year-In-Residence (B-AYR) courses will report directly to the Program Coordinator, MS/PhD professional psychology programs, and work closely with the lead instructors and Faculty Administrators for the B-AYR courses. The selected candidate will travel to Minneapolis a minimum of two times during the year, five to nine days per travel assignment, to complete job duties.
Graduate Assistants are responsible for organizing the assessment library, distributing and collecting testing materials, and managing classroom materials. During the Blended Academic-Year-In-Residence (B-AYR), the PAGA will also assist with classroom instruction, skill building activities, develop projects for all B-AYR courses, and may work on specific School of Psychology projects. The candidate selected for this position will gain skills that include experience with operations, clinical assessment and instructional skills at the graduate level.
Education and/or Experience:
Candidates must be advanced bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral students in the Walden School of Psychology who have either successfully completed the following courses: Cognitive Assessment AND Personality Assessment, OR who have obtained commensurate coursework that demonstrates a working and sophisticated knowledge of test kit security and code of ethics related to testing as specified by American Psychological Association, or other relevant licensing bodies. The successful candidate(s) must have an overall GPA of 3.5 or better on all Walden University coursework completed and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will have solid time management skills, work well with others (as well as independently), and be detailed-oriented.
The Graduate Assistant should plan to commit approximately 10 hours per week and be able to commit to the possibility of having to travel at least four times a year to distribute and collect the testing materials and at least two times a year to assist with the in-residence component of these AYR courses.
Compensation is $500.00 per month.
