GENERAL SUMMARY:



The Marketing Specialist will play an essential role in the growth of Walden’s business development marketing channel. This individual will be responsible for managing and executing marketing campaigns and communications to drive new student enrollment and account growth. Focusing on partners across healthcare, education, and corporate verticals, the Marketing Specialist will develop innovative marketing to support our partners’ internal learning objectives and position Walden as the premier partner. This individual must have an understanding of B2B marketing and a passion for developing innovative creative communications. The Marketing Specialist will work collaboratively across departments and must thrive in a fast-paced environment. As a liaison between business development and marketing, the Marketing Specialist will be a key player in expanding Walden’s marketing efforts and growing our partnership program.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities include:

  • Manage and execute marketing requests from business development leadership and team

  • Develop creative campaigns to build awareness, generate leads, and position Walden as a thought leader

  • Facilitate creative briefs and develop creative in collaboration with creative services and creative vendors

  • Implement tracking and report on the impact of marketing campaigns

  • Launch new partnership marketing and develop scalable templates

  • Refresh marketing templates and update inventory

  • Develop internal communications and enhance marketing delivery

  • Collaborate across marketing channels, including social media, digital, and events, to maximize marketing reach

  • Develop materials and content to support partners in healthcare, education, and corporate markets

  • Manage projects and communicate to stakeholders

  • Update and maintain marketing calendar

  • Assist with creative strategy for conferences and association marketing

  • Develop thought leadership and webinar marketing

  • Develop ongoing content marketing for business development team


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:



  • Minimum 3 years marketing experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Interest in creative marketing

  • Experience working with creative teams and sales teams

  • Skilled writer and proofreader

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Creative thinker

  • Skilled communicator

  • Team player with the ability to work across departments

  • Graphic design experience a plus

  • Experience in higher education a plus

  • Organized

  • Adapts well to change

  • Invested in team and organizational success with the desire to learn
