Digital / Shopper Marketing Manager

Reports to the Director of Trade Planning and Optimization

This role is responsible for Shopper Marketing strategy and tactics for both Brick and Mortar and E-commerce retailers. The Digital /Shopper Marketing Manager (DSMM) will leverage disruptive thinking and analytics to develop insight driven digital / shopper marketing programs which drive omni-channel category growth and amplify the brand message at retail.  This role must stay abreast of the latest shopper trends, retailer strategies and determine the appropriate approach to optimize return on investment and drive mutual growth for retailers and King Arthur Flour. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop in depth understanding of the flour and mix shopper’s path to purchase
  • Translate data and insight into retailer-specific recommendations that drive sales
  • Determine the appropriate mix of tactics using in-store, digital and traditional media to intercept the shopper on her path to purchase
  • Keep abreast of industry news, technologies, trends and opportunities, piloting and implementing emerging techniques to drive conversion
  • Create and measure progress against Digital / Shopper Marketing budget
  • Provide continuous analysis and generate insights for ongoing improvements of digital / shopper sales
  • Set KPIs, develop reporting and provide rigorous analysis of program results
  • Lead all brief and creative development for program specific creative
  • Facilitate timely and effective execution of digital / shopper marketing programs
  • Work with lateral teams to plan and execute digital and engagement strategies
  • Develop strong working relationships with external teams, including brokers and retailer digital / shopper marketing counterparts
  • Develop partnerships with other CPG companies for joint marketing opportunities
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Brand, Trade, Digital teams
  • Manage Digital / Shopper Marketing P&L

 

qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum Qualification: Undergraduate Degree
  • Preferred: a concentration in Marketing
  • Experience in the consumer goods/beverages industry preferably in Shopper Marketing, E-Commerce, Digital Marketing, Brand or Trade Management
  • Digital / Shopper marketing and E-commerce/omni channel experience required
  • Prior experience leveraging consumer insights to develop effective marketing programs and campaigns
  • Experience leading or influencing shopper experience, content management, digital shelf, digital merchandising, and the shopping cart
  • Experience analyzing and deriving insights from Syndicated Data,  Panel Data, Loyalty Card Data, Google Analytics
  • Experience with project management
