Description

The Community Engagement Manager designs and coordinates events, special programs, and community engagement activities in partnership with the Marketing and Client Engagement teams. This role manages logistics and administration for RSF’s Integrated Capital Institute including recruitment, liaising with fellows, faculty, and advisors, administering online learning activities, and organizing logistics for three week-long intensives. The position supports Client Engagement and Lending team initiatives by coordinating and implementing events that support fundraising, business development, and client stewardship strategies. The Community Engagement Manager also oversees the development and execution of webinar & podcast programs for all RSF departments

Responsibilities:

Integrated Capital Institute (ICI):

Fellow, Faculty, and Advisor Support:

  • Support ICI faculty, advisors, and RSF staff on development and organizing program content for
    intensives and online engagement and learning opportunities
  • Monitor and update lists of ICI applicants, current Fellows, and Alums
  • Manage ICI prospect application review process
  • Conduct interviews and send follow-up emails to applicants
  • Liaise with Faculty, 1-on-1 Advisors, Guest Presenters, and Fellows to prepare them for ICI
    intensives
  • Help plan ICI webinars and online classes
  • Answer questions and build relationships with ICI fellows, alums, faculty, and advisor

Communications:

  • Assist with development of ICI educational content, including promotional materials, Fellow bios, webinar list, website content, Basecamp, and surveys
  • Work with Client Engagement team on ICI communications
  • Send thank-you notes and/or gifts to ICI presenters
  • Post information for Fellows on Basecamp online tool
  • Document procedures, project timing, and tasks related to ICI management

Logistics for in-person Intensives:

  • Review and manage contracts with retreat sites for ICI intensives
  • Develop all banquet event order (BEOs) including food & drink, space set-up, timeline, headcount, A/V, etc. for each day of ICI intensive
  • Synch up BEOs with ICI Agenda
  • Develop and manage ICI program books for Intensives
  • Manage prep needs & on-site logistics with core faculty, staff, and presenters
  • Provide other administrative and event support for ICI Team, Faculty, Presenters and Advisors as needed

RSF Events: Fundraisers & Gatherings

  • Develop annual plan and calendar for fundraising events and gatherings in partnership with the Marketing and Client Engagement teams
  • Manage all communications related to event invitations and follow-up
  • Oversee production of quarterly Community Pricing Gatherings (in-person and online)
  • Manage RSF events calendar; research industry events and share suggestions with client-facing teams for attendance and speaking engagements
  • Oversee day-of onsite tasks for all RSF events (client gatherings, meetings, dinners, etc.)

Webinars & Podcasts

  • Design webinar and podcast program to showcase RSF’s work, clients, and thought leadership in support of fundraising goals and RSF’s strategic priorities
  • Manage annual calendar of webinars and podcasts;
  • Identify topics and speakers in collaboration with client-facing teams
  • Develop PowerPoint presentations for webinars as needed

Sponsorships

  • Participate in RSF’s Sponsorship Committee
  • Ensure RSF’s fundraising and gathering calendar coordinates with sponsored events
  • Assist with identifying opportunities for add-on RSF events at sponsored conferences

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Minimum 5 years’ of relevant experience
Experience with social enterprises or social finance preferred
Experience assisting fellowship or educational programs a plus
Prior training or familiarity with diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives
Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to draft, review, and edit communications, collateral, and presentations
Strong interpersonal and listening skills required, with sensitivity and appreciation for diverse viewpoints and various communication styles
Solid understanding of event and program budgets; ability to forecast event costs
Excellent organizational and systems thinking skills
Strong project management skills
Strong event planning and implementation skills
Excellent attention to detail
Public speaking experience a plus
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required
Experience with mass email campaign tools
Strong Excel and database experience including the development and maintenance of accurate reports
Exceptional Salesforce skills
Strong leadership and team building skills
Ability to exercise good judgment, with minimal supervision, to manage time effectively, solve problems, determine and address RSF’s needs, respond appropriately to changing circumstances and priorities
The ability to take initiative and to independently make decisions, to think outside the box, and see the “big picture”
Ability to work well under pressure, and meet deadlines and complete tasks in a timely manner
Must be able to frequently communicate orally and by telephone
Must be able to work at RSF’s offices during regular office hours as set forth in RSF’s Employee Manual
Must be willing and able to travel for conferences and meetings within the United States and Canada

Compensation & Benefits:

The expected initial salary for this position is expected to be in the $85K range. Other benefits include:
