Position Summary:
We are searching for a full time Porter working Monday through Friday, 7:30 am – 3:30 pm reporting to the Facilities Manager. Successful candidate must be flexible to work more hours if needed. This position is responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary facility at all times.
Responsibilities:
- Mops and vacuums all floors daily and cleans mops after use
- Snow removal
- Cleans and disinfects bathrooms sinks and toilets
- Restocks soap, toilet paper and paper towels
- Dusts offices
- Empties all trash cans on a daily basis and disposes of trash in designated areas
- Recycles appropriate material
- Reports any broken items to General Manager
- Replaces light bulbs as needed
- Ensures all unnecessary lights are turned off as required
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management
Experience:
- Six months experience cleaning buildings both inside and outside
Physical and/or Mental Requirements:
- Ability to stand and exert fast-pace mobility for entire shift
- Ability to bend, kneel, squat and reach over head
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work outside in both hot and cold weather including rain and snow
- Ability to work more hours beyond a typical workday, as needed
- Ability to travel to the other buildings, as needed
- Ability to work with cleaning chemicals and solvents
- Ability to work in dusty environment
Work Environment
- Work both inside and outside as necessary
- Willing and able to work additional hours as needed to ensure responsibilities are met
