Finance Analyst or Senior Finance Analyst job in New York

ESSENCE OF THE ROLE
As the Finance Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial health of the organization. You will work closely with the rest of the Finance function on key activities and will be expected at times to work on special projects as relevant and suited to your unique skills. More experienced candidates may also qualify for the Senior Finance Analyst position.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Become the expert on our financial operations (which includes elevating challenges and implementing solutions so that our financial operations can scale), while executing our day-to-day processes with a high bar of excellence.

- Manage our bookkeeper to timely and accurate bookkeeping, as well as a clean chart of accounts.

- Become an expert in the current expenditures of the company and own expense management.

- Run, collaborate on, and present various financial analyses to a variety of stakeholders across the organization and to the executive team.

- Help build and maintain our internal processes and recordkeeping - including vendor management, billing, and contracts.

- Manage the financials of our partner nonprofit Catchafire Foundation and implement ways to scale their operations.

- Collaborate on special projects strategic to the growth of the organization, such as unit economics analysis.

EXPERIENCE / BACKGROUND
Must Have:

- 3-5 years professional experience in a finance role or in the financial services industry.
- Candidates with more experience may qualify for the Senior Finance Analyst position
- You can build a wide variety of models, and have experience creating sophisticated financial analysis models in Excel
- You can put together, analyze, and visualize financials
- You have superb written and verbal communication skills

Nice to Have:
