PURPOSE

The Field and Retail Marketing Manager, West will join our team in a full-time role, based in the San Francisco Bay Area. The ideal candidate will have experience in high-growth, entrepreneurial environments and can manage day-to-day details while driving west coast strategy in conjunction with the field marketing and sales team.

  • Oversee management of all west coast Field Marketing efforts, bringing the brand to life through creative and innovative ideas that support brand growth and drive in-store velocity
  • Regional retail programming
  • Demo programs and strategy
  • Consumer sampling activations
  • Influencer Marketing
  • Field operations and logistics

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Influencer Marketing, Relationship Building, and Sampling Programs
  • Work with the Brand Engagement team to help set field strategies and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and ensure exceptional delivery against KPIs
  • Recognize our consumer segmentation and work with the team to identify activities and partnerships to drive optimal brand visibility, awareness, and trial with these consumer groups
  • Build and manage regional influencer relationships; utilize partners at sampling activations, key events, and/or through social platforms. Identify and seed regional tastemakers/ VIPs/ celebrities
  • Understand regional media landscape and partnership opportunities to leverage throughout key marketing programs
  • Work closely with the Brand / Consumer Engagement Team to integrate digital initiatives into field marketing execution for priority activations
  • Identify and manage regional/national opportunities and events that are reflective and relevant to the brand and to the local market. Ensure delivery of authentic message and brand look and feel to achieve results
  • Partner with like-minded brands and companies that help appropriately position the brand, drive trial and awareness and provide opportunities for co-marketing programs

Sales and Retail Support

  • Explore, develop and execute regional retail programming alongside the Sales team
  • Work with Sales team to build demo strategy and identify elevated in-store sampling opportunities
  • Understand regional ‘non-traditional’ retail landscape and work with Sales Team to increase distribution and customer conversion
  • Collaborate with sales team to:
  • Excite/educate distributors about the brand to build existing/ new accounts
  • Determine market level goals and initiate strategic marketing programs to help reach these goals
  • Maintain a high level of interaction and communication with key trade customers
  • Conduct store audits (with distributor mgt when possible) to ensure alignment with merchandising standards and promotional programming is being executed
  • Manage relationship with demo agency to supplement strategic needs outside of arms reach markets, when applicable

Management and Logistics

  • Motivate and lead a team of passionate Field Marketing Managers; work together to create discovery and enhance the brand experience
  • Act as a liaison between the field Sales and Field Marketing teams to collect feedback and relay a field perspective to the REBBL Brand/ Consumer engagement team
  • Work with Field Marketing Managers to complete all aspects of the event planning process: pre, during and post duties including personnel, product delivery/distribution, refrigeration, transportation, supplies, contracts, insurance, and permits
  • Manage the execution of large-scale events, ensuring the brand look of success and optimizing product
  • Manage timely weekly and monthly recaps of key events, sampling experiences, account opportunities and communicate regional success to management and sales team
  • Accurately manage a large budget across multiple markets. Allocate funding to meet marketing and sales goals (includes tracking manpower, premier partnerships, and sponsorships, product samples, logistics, etc.)
  • Gather and track valuable retail/consumer feedback that contributes to innovation, quality control, and other important branding decisions

EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree or above preferred
  • Minimum 3-5 years prior experience in field marketing and/ or brand management
  • Deep-rooted understanding/insight into local market demographics, trends, and influencers
  • Experience running marketing programs and effectively managing teams and budgets
  • Ability to plan and organize (frequently-changing) priorities
  • Strong working knowledge of partner and vendor contract development and special event permitting
  • Retail programming experience preferred
  • Exceptional leadership experience; training, managing, and motivating a team
  • Experience assessing and negotiating large-scale partnership and sponsorship opportunities
  • Responsible, self-motivated, dependable, and engaging
  • Skilled at collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • An entrepreneurial spirit, a thrill for brand building and the enthusiasm for scaling a steep learning curve
  • Outgoing and personable, capable of nurturing relationships as well as engaging guests
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and experience with Microsoft Office Suite

JOB SPECIFICS

  • Full-time, salaried position, located in the San Francisco Bay Area

  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including some early mornings, nights and weekends
  • Ability to travel on a frequent basis (30 – 40%)
