VAVA COFFEE is looking for a Finance Intern!

For this Finance internship you will be based in Nairobi, Kenya, where we work in a young, dynamic and informal atmosphere. We are looking for an intern that is available from February 2019, for a 8 month period.


As a Finance intern, you will gain valuable work experience whilst supporting the overall Finance team reach their goals and objectives. More specifically, during your 6 month internship you will:


Work alongside all members of the finance team in our Tanzania and Colombia operations under our other projects - Gente Del Futuro.
Will assist the Head Accountant with daily banking and accounts payable responsibilities
Support the AR team on collection activities and AR dispute reconciliations
Take on new projects to improve processes around all Finance functions
Take on reporting responsibilities and assist with daily/weekly/monthly reporting requirements
Assist the team with new system implementations and testing requirements
Support the team through month close process
Get fantastic experience of working in a busy finance team with exposure to all 3 distribution channels; Retail, Wholesale and E-Commerce.


We are looking for someone who is/has:

A strong communicator who enjoys interacting with people from different cultures
Proactive, organized, enthusiastic and a team player
Able to prioritize and multi task in a fast paced work environment
A self-starter, confident to carry out projects and events on your own
Driven to deliver results and exceed expectations
Are you/Do you have:
MS Office skills (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
Fluency in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
A passport and ready to travel both regionally and internationally
Available fulltime (40 hours/5 days per week)
Available from February 2019 and able commit to a 8 month period
