i.d.e.a. is a fully integrated marketing company located in the Little Italy neighborhood of San Diego working with prominent clients by providing digital media, social media, PR, branding, advertising, and design services.
We are looking for a part-time Digital Media Intern to join our Media team this Summer for a three month internship. We will take the time to teach you, support your individual goals and provide you with responsibility – and have some fun too.
Hands-on Internship Responsibilities
• Gain experience with paid media, helping to develop and implement integrated campaigns from start to finish
• Assist with media strategy and planning
• Research new media platforms, targeting features and advances for media planning
• Help create media performance reports and analyze trends
• Shadow digital media specialists and gain experience assisting with implementation of paid search and social media campaigns optimizations and new campaign development
• Pull metrics from Google analytics and other media platforms such as Sizmek
• Gain an understanding of agency life and how all the departments (media, creative, client partnership, etc.) work together in advertising
Qualifications
• Major in Marketing, Advertising, Communication, Journalism, Psychology or a related field AND previous related internship experience strongly preferred
• A current student and eligible for internship academic credit
• Strong Excel user with a desire to expand expertise
• Highly motivated, and interested in learning and applying new skills
• Comfortable working with numbers and the ability to analyze metrics and data
• Strong attention to detail and writing skills with diligent work ethic
• Willingness to hustle and pitch in across teams where necessary
• Comfortable with technology and not afraid to figure out how to use a new platforms or tools
• Ability to work with a team to meet group objectives and eagerness to work in a fast-paced office environment
• Ability to multi-task and balance competing priorities
• Basic understanding of Google Analytics preferred and familiarity with Google AdWords a plus
• Knowledge of social media advertising, including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram
