ABOUT THE ROLE

Catchafire makes it easy for anyone to use their talents for good and provides nonprofits with access to skills-based volunteers who are professionals in their domain. It's an exciting time here at Catchafire as our demand from nonprofits for expert help grows, we’re ready to take our marketing channels to the next level. You’ll be supporting cross-channel marketing campaigns that educate, inspire and drive action ultimately influencing the social good space and changing perspectives on volunteering.

As a lean, centralized team, being part of marketing means contributing to a broad spectrum of digital strategies to engage our ever-growing community of volunteers and nonprofit users from end to end implementation of our email campaigns and assisting with social media, to tracking results and making recommendations on how we improve our conversion rates.

We want to meet you if you are steeped in the digital marketing world, creative, resourceful and organized. Bonus points if you are comfortable using design tools and want to grow your design capabilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute flawlessly on our email campaigns, ensuring delivery to our end users, which includes writing, building, proofreading and monitoring each campaign.
  • Manage list segmentation to deliver more targeted and relevant messaging.
  • Play an active role developing social content to ensure consistent, relevant presence.
  • Oversee the day-to-day management and tracking of our online campaigns including paid, organic and owned.
  • Partner with Product, Marketing, Customer Success and User Engagement teams to develop new strategies and tactics to drive user acquisition.


MUST-HAVE ATTRIBUTES
Highly Organized: You gets stuff done, with a bias for action and execution. You’re part of a team and can work independently – once you’re clear on the task, you are able to own and run with it.


Superb Communicator - You are able to write both creatively and directly in order to create powerful campaigns. You are hungry for responsibility and can see how tiny pieces of work elevate an overall experience.


Data-driven: Ability to quickly and effectively analyze data points to drive effective experimentation and growth.


User Focused - You ultimately care most about how our users will respond to our messaging and campaigns. To ensure our messages land, you are curious and focused on what will resonate with and deliver value to our users.


WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Ideal candidates must have:

  • 2+ years experience in email marketing and demonstrated experience with an email management system (i.e. MailChimp, Pardot, SendGrid)
  • Experience with A/B testing
  • Familiarity monitoring engagement and analyzing data
  • Superior project management skills and ability to work under tight deadlines


NICE TO HAVE:

  • Comfort using design tools (i.e Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Sketch)
  • Work samples and/or a portfolio
