The job will give you a rich experience in being a vital part of a small team at a high growth startup. You will have exposure to all aspects of the business and share in problem solving and decision making.
Our mission is to provide delicious, nutrient-dense, and purity-tested food for people who are customizing their diets so they can be healthier and would like to know if their food contains hidden toxins, pesticides, or allergens that could make them sick. Through our patent pending system they can easily access the 3rd party purity lab tests we run on every product we make.

Position Open: This is a temporary contract position to manage our wholesale and online customers’ happiness and provide key operational and inventory management. Direct customer service is approximately 25% of the position. This job is key to our company, providing both direct work on core functions and coordinating our team work to make sure our inventory needs are being tracked and communicated effectively. It involves a variety of types of work that are very important to our company’s success!
Capabilities Required: We love our customers, both wholesale and online, and your ability to and passion for providing white glove customer service via social media, email, and phone is of the utmost importance to us. Part of meeting their needs is insuring we have inventory on hand, which takes attention in our fast growth stage. To manage our inventory, you need to have weekly meetings with our COO and CEO, be comfortable working with spreadsheets, and able to learn new back end systems easily.
Helpful experience: Inventory management and back end support for 3rd party selling platforms. Systems: Wordpress, Woo Commerce, Teaplixx, Google Docs, Slack, Amazon, Range Me. Food and startup experience. Making and/or managing social media ads and posts (could be added to the position).
Dates: approximately first week of July–early September. ZEGO is a rapidly growing company, and there could be opportunity for continued work after this time frame but we will not know that until after the summer.
Hours: 30 per week, potential for if you are looking for more work and we have open projects.
Rate: $20-$25/hour depending on experience
Location: Our office is in San Francisco but the work could be done from anywhere as long as your working hours can cover approximately 8:30am-2:30pm PT. If you are in the SF Bay Area, we prefer you come into our office in Cole Valley (N-Judah Muni Carl Street stop) at least one day a week.
Skills Set: Our ideal candidate will be enjoy working with wholesale and online retail customers and be detail-oriented, dependable, and skilled in navigating back end systems like inventory management (e.g., Teapplix) and sales portals (e.g., Amazon, Range Me), and managing order fulfilment and inventory. They will also be comfortable working with our management team to coordinate and track inventory demands and 3rd party lab testing of our products and ingredients.
