Description

Radish Lab is an interactive agency focused on social impact projects. We work with global non-profits, arts organizations, cultural institutions, startups and foundations, and are a growing team of 10 (very nice) people.

Our Brooklyn office is looking for a Project Management and Administration intern who is dynamic, motivated, super-organized and willing to wear many hats.

They should also be someone who truly takes pleasure in solving problems, is a self-starter, and enjoys being a part of a team. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in gaining experience in digital project management and learning what it takes to keep a design agency running smoothly.   

Ideally, this new intern can begin in early/mid January, with a minimum commitment of 20 hours per week for a total of 12 weeks, with flexibility around an exact schedule.  You will be working in our main office in Bushwick (off the Morgan L stop); compensation is $15.00/hour, and Radish Lab provides snacks and drinks (beer included!) for all employees and interns. For the right candidate, there may also be potential for continuing on in a permanent part- or full-time position. 

Key responsibilities:

Admin 

  • Correspondence/follow ups for contracts/paperwork/invoices

  • Travel and events arrangement/assistance

  • Calendar management and scheduling across time zones

  • Mailing, supplies ordering + tracking/picking up packages

  • Fresh Direct order management

  • Data entry as needed

  • Meeting note taking

  • Troubleshooting tech-related issues (Internet/Printer/Etc.)

  • Tracking and depositing checks 

  • Liaising with building manager, superintendent, and cleaning staff

  • Running errands as needed

  • Overflow admin work for other positions

Project Management 

  • Assist PM team with day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope

  • Contribute to brainstorms and concept ideation for projects

  • Participate in internal creative reviews

  • Create and update project timelines

  • Assist with content management and content entry

  • Put the software we use to good use (Basecamp, Slack, Dropbox, Google Drive, Harvest and Harvest Forecast, Github, AirTable) 

 

Who you are: 

  • Great organizational skills, and can manage multiple projects at the same time

  • Flexible and able to adapt quickly to the demands of challenging and unusual projects

  • Strong time management: you will work with team members, clients, and vendors, often doing all at once

  • Passion and an eye for creative

  • Interest in and passion for social change and the greater good

  • Process-driven and eager to contribute to forming new processes

 

Nice to haves: 

  • Experience in an administrator, project manager, strategist, or producer role (or equivalent)

  • Experience working/interning at a creative agency
